Diet and Nutrition

Picture
To help get your body into shape and maintain your fitness and well-being, you need to follow a sensible diet. This may include reducing your fat intake and cutting down on sweets, fried food and take away food, and eating more fruit and vegetables.

Quick weight loss diets are not highly recommended as they seem to only be a temporary fix and quite often are not very effective, especial in the long-term. You need to just substitute some types of foods you normally have with healthier alternatives. For example, cutting down on soft drinks (soda pop) and replacing with water, juices or milk. It is more beneficial to get into healthier eating habits that will help you loose weight gradually and then maintain your ideal weight on a long-term basis. These good habits can be beneficial to not just yourself but to your whole family.

LifeTrack - The Lifetrack 2000 program and its personal dietary assessments were developed by the Anti-Cancer Council in response to research that confirmed a healthy diet and lifestyle can reduce the risk of many diseases including cancer, heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis.
